Dissolve flakes in denatured alcohol. Pound cut indicates concentration. Two-pound cut versatile starting point. Fresh shellac works best.

Application Methods

Brush or pad applies finish. Thin coats build quickly. Sand between coats lightly. French polish creates glass-like surface.

Limitations

Not heat resistant. Water marks easily. Alcohol dissolves cured film. Best for display pieces.
