I came into Bartow my junior year after I had trouble in my home life. I transferred over from Haines city high school where I grew up with most the people I went to school with. Transferring over to bartow, I was so scared but it was so incredibly welcoming. I met some amazing new friends and the teachers were amazing. My best experience was being apart of chorus and working as a TA, where I was able to continue being a part of something I love and met some really amazing friends. The worst was probably when I did dual enrollment because it was sometimes really hard to keep up online classes and try to enjoy my senior year of high school. I honestly wouldn’t change anything because I think I made the most of my experience at Bartow.

While at BHS I have experienced many ups and downs in being enrolled here. A specific highlight of my experience here were the people I have met whilst attending this school, from the faculty and staff to the student body, I have met many positive influences here at this school that have aided me in preforming better in school. On the flip side a massive negative of my school is how severely underfunded our extracurricular activities and sports are. I was a part of a sports team here in Bartow and whilst it was fun and an amazing experience, my fellow athletes and I were held back by the lack of funding provided to us. We made our outdated equipment work and excelled in our program, nevertheless. One thing I would like to see be changed is the extent to which clubs are funded so that everyone has an equal opportunity to excel in their pursuits and hobbies, allowing their talents to come to fruition.

Bartow High School is an amazing high school. Bartow high has amazing sports, amazing teachers, and a wide variety of classes to choose from. The electives are fun and educational, and students have great times. This is a wonderful school.

My experience at bartow high has been amazing all 3 years ive went here . The teachers and staff all put in a help to all students no matter what . The best part about bartow senior high would probably be the staff and students the staff is so nice and the students help around with everyone at the school. Honestly i never had the “ worst “ experience at bartow high . The staff has always helped me when i needed it , for example my senior year i came in stressing about getting all my graduation requirements but my guidance counselor ms tindell made sure i got all the help i needed . I would like to see a change in some people attitude !

I would like the dress code to change and the overall feel of the school. The food could be better and the options for the food could be better and include food allergies as well as intolerances like lactose intolerance. They also could use more drink options, they only have milk in which if someone such as myself is lactose intolerant cannot drink.

The best parts of Bartow High School are the diverse classes they offer, for example culinary, agriculture, and the police academy. The worst parts are the disciplinary actions they use. I would like to see them change the way they handle students being late to school.

The teachers and staff were welcoming though some were rather tough or hard for what they were teaching. The student body has it's ups and downs like any other school. If anything it could use better communication with the students of it's own school along with the students of Summerlin Military Academy and IB.

I been at Bartow Senior High School for my whole 4 years and what I can say about is many of the teachers there have taught me a lot and have treated me with great kindness. The Admins of this school have helped me with any problems that came about. I had a lot of wonderful memories and moments that I would deeply sad when I had to graduate from there.

The staff is amazing. The teachers try to connect with the students and are very welcoming. Even though the there is a new principle nothing has gone down hill. The new principle is doing great and loves getting to know the students. There has been a lot of updates going on, each new building has alot to offer including the new music building. The new music building has an area to record and play back audios.

I loved all of the teachers and staff. I was however, wrongly accused of cheating multiple times, I think it was a racial thing, I don't really know but don't want to be accusatory as well. So many options educations wise, even elective and hobby wise.

I was in the IB program and found the teachers and staff accomodating for my particular struggles. I felt like I learned many good life skills while in the program. However, it can be pretty stressful.

Bartow High School is a normal school for anyone who would like to have a normal high school experience. There’s nothing amazing about the school, but there’s nothing really bad about it either. Bartow High School helped me graduate, gave me a good high school experience, and helped me figure out what I want to do in the next stage of my life.

Bartow Senior High School is a place where everyone with different backgrounds come and meet others. They help students get comfortable and ready for their 4 years attending that school. The sports program have helped and improved many students. I love Bartow for the school spirit we are known for. Our school resource officers are kind, focused and determined to make sure we are safe at all times. Our staff are amazing and truly help us, the students, get familiar with how certain things work.

The recent renovations of the school have provided students with new buildings and campus resources. Although some classes have been moved to portables until construction is completed, the wait is worthwhile. Bartow also has three major sub-schools: Bartow Senior High, Summerlin Academy, and International Baccalaureate. The IB program at Bartow is an advanced academics program with wonderful teachers and guidance counselor. The Summerlin Academy is a military school that prepares students for the military after graduation. The separate programs at Bartow allow students with varying career goals to pursue their dreams through education.

Bartow is a really good school. They try their best to help every student academically and help them stay on top of work. One thing I’d change is interaction with students, we sometimes don’t know how much we’re appreciated because we tend to get in trouble for things like dress code & attendance, and not everyone can control their situations. Other than that, it’s a great school & has really great teachers!

Bartow High School is a diverse school with many challenges. As a student who is part of the IB program in this school, I have faced many academic challenges; however, I feel that being part of the IB program allows me to prepare for a rigorous academic course in college. Many of our teachers are dedicated to helping us earn our IB diplomas, and for that I am thankful. The rigor and requirements of this school can be mentally taxing; however, I feel that attending it is worth the effort because I have learned a lot more than I would have elsewhere. I appreciate the friendships I made at this school; at my previous school, there was not much ethnic diversity, and I did not have many friends that I could relate to. At Bartow Senior High School, I have made long lasting friendships with people who are exactly like me. All in all, I am grateful to this school for teaching me new things and giving me what I didn't have before.
