Tailoring offers many different gear options throughout all Phases ofTBC Classic, with many of them being best-in-slot for some specialisations.

In this guide, we will show you all thedifferent gear available to Tailoring, how to train the profession, unlock its different specializations, and many other things.

1.

Introduction

Tailoring is one of the most powerful and game changing Professions in TBC.It allows you to make extremely strong armor sets that many classes likeWarlocks, Priests, Mages, and even some Shamans and Druids, use these sets forboth their caster specs and their healing specs. Some powerful sets likeSpellfire Set, Frozen Shadoweave, Primal Mooncloth, andeven BiS enchants like TBC Classic Tailoring Profession and Leveling 1-375 Guide (1) Runic Spellthread, new bags, and so much moreare available to tailors.

Tailoring is often paired with Enchanting, so as to disenchantthe stuff you make while leveling it up, but this is not mandatory. Anotheroption is a gathering profession like Herbalism orMining.

You may also find that Tailoring can be used to complement yourgoldmaking in TBC Classic. For more information on this among other methodsinvolving alternative professions, please see our separate guide on the topic:

Changes from Classic to TBC

Not much changes from Classic to TBC in terms of leveling up your Tailoringprofession 1-300, but 300-375 is quite a bit different than what you may be usedto from Classic. The main cloth that you can expect to use during your Tailoringadventures in TBC is TBC Classic Tailoring Profession and Leveling 1-375 Guide (2) Netherweave Cloth. This will be used to craft all3sorts of cloth, including some very important ones likeTBC Classic Tailoring Profession and Leveling 1-375 Guide (3) Bolt of Imbued Netherweave, which is used to make very important Tailoringpieces, TBC Classic Tailoring Profession and Leveling 1-375 Guide (4) Bolt of Soulcloth, which is vital for Shadow Resistance gear thatyou will need later in Black Temple. There is also the all-importantSpecialization gear, which includes TBC Classic Tailoring Profession and Leveling 1-375 Guide (5) Spellcloth, TBC Classic Tailoring Profession and Leveling 1-375 Guide (6) Shadowcloth, and TBC Classic Tailoring Profession and Leveling 1-375 Guide (7) Primal Mooncloth.

3.

Where to Train Tailoring

For Classic, there are now Tailoring trainers located at all major Cities andwill be able to teach you Tailoring from Apprentice to Artisan.

For TBC, the Tailoring Trainer that will teach you Master Tailoring islocated in Honor Hold if you are Alliance and Thrallmarif you are Horde.

For the new TBC Specializations, all the trainers are located in ShattrathCity in the Lower City district and they are all also located relatively closeto each other. Take note that this is also where the Mana Loom is, which will beneeded to craft TBC Classic Tailoring Profession and Leveling 1-375 Guide (8) Bolt of Imbued Netherweave.

Tailoring Specializations

Tailoring had 3 specialisations introduced to it in TBC Classic, each havingtheir own role and use. TBC Classic Tailoring Profession and Leveling 1-375 Guide (9)Shadoweave Tailoring,TBC Classic Tailoring Profession and Leveling 1-375 Guide (10)Spellfire Tailoring, and TBC Classic Tailoring Profession and Leveling 1-375 Guide (11)Mooncloth Tailoring areeach used on their own to create extremely powerful sets of gear that will carrythem easily into T4 and, for some, even into T5.

Once you reach 350, you can choose to train as one of these Specializationsby simply going to Shattrath City in Outland and selecting one, leading to asimple quest. While you can make any of these cloths as a Tailor, if you are oneof these specializations you can craft TWO rather than just one. This ishuge because, with each craft, there is a very long cooldown and this doublesyour amount of speciality cloth!

Along with the double craft on cloth, each specialization has a special setof armor that they can craft and each set comes with superb stats, a ton ofsockets, and even a set bonus.
