What to Know

Critics Consensus

Retroactively enriching Fury Road with greater emotional heft if not quite matching it in propulsive throttle, Furiosa is another glorious swerve in mastermind George Miller's breathless race towards cinematic Valhalla.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Tim Cogshell FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) This script should have been released first. It would've elevated Fury Road... The dynamic here is reversed, though this is still a very good film. Jun 14, 2024 Full Review Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Christy Lemire FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) Nothing could ever be Fury Road, but if you want the spectacle and a reason to go back to theaters this summer, this is a great one. Jun 8, 2024 Full Review Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga | Rotten Tomatoes (3) Wenlei Ma The Nightly (AU) If Furiosa had been a standalone, it would be considered an incredible feat, but as the fifth instalment, it doesn’t evolve on the spectacle we’ve already seen in Fury Road. Rated: 3.5/5 Jun 7, 2024 Full Review Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga | Rotten Tomatoes (4) Wade Major FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) It is a saga. It is an epic. It is enthralling. It is not the relentless chase that they previous film was, but it is emotionally much more involving. Jun 14, 2024 Full Review Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga | Rotten Tomatoes (5) Rene Sanchez Cine Sin Fronteras An apocalyptic revenge western that continues expanding Miller's enthralling universe. Anya Taylor-Joy is the Furiosa we deserve. Mo Chris hemsworth character did not fit !! Too long, only the action scenes were ok, not like previous movie. I didnt care for it, I know changes take place but this was not for us. Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/15/24 Full Review Charlynne One of the better written scripts of the Mad Max Saga. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/15/24 Full Review Patrick C Why? Needlessly long, weirdly bloated and meandering story. Great acting and set pieces that somehow is a total dud. Bummer. Rated 1.5/5 Stars • Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/15/24 Full Review Mike T We had to watch this twice because the visuals were just so astonishing! The acting was also surprisingly strong, especially for an action movie. They did so much with expressions and body language, and the voice over by the historian was clever. There was no boring part of the film, and every scene contributed to the overall expression. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/15/24 Full Review Dan Awesome! George Millers still got it! Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/15/24 Full Review Renee I only rated it a 1 because I didn't get to the movies to see it. Rated 0.5/5 Stars • Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/14/24 Full Review Read all reviews
